Breakout country artist Willow Avalon is headed to Indianapolis this fall.

Avalon will perform at Hi-Fi Annex on October 18 as part of her extensive North American headline tour, supporting her sophomore album Pink Pocket Pistol, which is out now via Atlantic Outpost/Assemble Sound.

The album features collaborations with Jason Isbell, Midland and Kaitlin Butts, and continues Avalon’s rise as one of country music’s most compelling new voices. Recent singles include “Work To Do,” “Hypothetically Speaking” featuring Kaitlin Butts, “Easy On The Eyes” and “Cardinal Sin” featuring Jason Isbell.

Avalon described Pink Pocket Pistol as a darker, more mysterious record with a ’60s country feel, while still carrying the sharp lyricism and storytelling that have become central to her sound.

The Indianapolis date comes during a busy year for Avalon, who has performed at Stagecoach, CMA Fest, the Grand Ole Opry and other major stages. She has also shared stages with artists including Willie Nelson, Bob Dylan, Zach Bryan, Cage the Elephant, Paul Cauthen and Charles Wesley Godwin.

For Indy country fans looking beyond the arena circuit, Avalon’s Hi-Fi Annex show should be one of the fall’s strongest club-level picks.
