The Strokes will bring their summer tour to the Indianapolis area this month, with a July 15 performance scheduled for Ruoff Music Center in Noblesville.

The show comes as the New York rock band continues the rollout for its upcoming album, Reality Awaits, due July 24 via RCA Records. The band recently unveiled a music video for “Going Shopping,” starring Walton Goggins and directed by longtime collaborator Johann Rashid.

The Noblesville date is part of a major run that also includes stops at Cincinnati’s Riverbend Music Center, Milwaukee’s American Family Insurance Amphitheater, two sold-out nights at Red Rocks, Outside Lands, Flushing Meadows Corona Park in Queens and two sold-out nights at London’s O2.

For Indianapolis-area fans, the Ruoff stop offers a rare chance to see one of the most influential rock bands of the 2000s just days before the release of their seventh studio album. Since their 2001 debut, The Strokes have helped define an era of indie rock with a catalog that includes Is This It, Room on Fire, First Impressions of Earth and beyond.

The July 15 show will give local fans a mix of classic Strokes favorites and a glimpse at the band’s latest era.
