Garth Brooks is kicking off his next era right here in Indianapolis.
The country music icon announced that his new Blame It All On My Roots Arena Tour will launch with back-to-back nights at Gainbridge Fieldhouse on Friday, August 21 and Saturday, August 22, 2026. Both shows are scheduled for 8 p.m.
For Indianapolis country fans, the announcement is more than just another major concert coming to town. Brooks is using Indy as the starting point for a tour built around a return to the arena-sized spectacle that helped define his career in the 1990s.
The tour marks what Brooks is calling a “retro arena era,” bringing his show back indoors after years of stadium-sized dominance. According to the announcement, the production will feature the return of his iconic drum pod, a centerpiece from the arena tour era that helped turn Brooks’ live show into one of country music’s biggest attractions.
“Going back into the arenas is about putting the stadium show in a box,” Brooks said in the tour announcement. “The excitement gets multiplied by the intimacy. Every seat is a great seat. This is personal.”
Brooks is also expected to record during the tour, with the Blame It All On My Roots Tour serving as the foundation for Killer Live, a new live recording project. That adds another layer of importance to the Indianapolis kickoff: fans at Gainbridge Fieldhouse will not only be among the first to see the new tour, but could also be part of the next chapter in Brooks’ live-recording legacy.
The run comes 30 years after Brooks launched the arena tour that eventually produced Double Live, one of the most successful live albums in country music history. Now, three decades later, he is bringing that energy back to the type of rooms where it began.
Tickets for both Indianapolis shows go on sale Friday, July 17 at 10 a.m. ET through Ticketmaster. There are no presales or advance box office sales, and tickets for both nights will go on sale at the same time. Fans can purchase up to eight tickets per order.
For a city that continues to attract some of the biggest names in music, landing the first two nights of Garth Brooks’ new arena tour is a major win. And for Brooks fans in Indiana, August 2026 just became one of the biggest country weekends of the year.
