Indiana Black Expo’s 2026 Summer Celebration is continuing in Indianapolis with several major events still ahead.
The annual celebration runs July 9-19 under the theme “Our legacy. Our Influence. Our Future,” according to the official Summer Celebration site. Organizers describe the event as one of the largest cultural gatherings in the country.
Remaining scheduled programming includes the Music Heritage Festival Outdoor Concert on July 17, the Corporate Luncheon on July 17, the Cultural Arts Pavilion from July 17-19, Exhibition Hall from July 17-19 and the Summer Celebration Health Fair from July 17-19.
The event calendar also includes youth-focused programming, business and education events, film programming and faith-based gatherings across the broader celebration.
For Indianapolis residents, Summer Celebration is both a cultural tradition and a practical downtown planning note. Visitors should expect increased activity around event venues and should check the official event guide for times, ticketing details and any schedule changes before heading out.
